RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS:
Water supply (suitable for distilled water, wastewater, cooling brines, seawater, etc.), plant and apparatus construction, food and beverage industry. Resistant to: most acids and alkalis.
Tips for Gluing:
Only glue PVC fittings when they are absolutely dry and clean.
Water, moisture, and condensates prevent a good connection.
Do not glue at temperatures below 5 degrees.
The drying time is approximately 24 hours, only then can the
glue joints be subjected to pressure.
- Clean spigots and sockets with Tangit, MGT, or Cepex
- apply adhesive to both ends to be glued
- distribute the adhesive lengthwise from the inside to the outside
- push spigot and socket together immediately and without tilting to the stop
Temperature range:
0 °C to + 60 °C.
Instructions for Use:
- Cut the pipes and remove visible residues
- Clean and degrease the surfaces to be glued with our PVC cleaning solvent.
- Shake the container before use. Do not pour out. Use a suitable brush for application.
- Apply a fine layer of adhesive, first on the corresponding socket surface and then on the pipe to be glued. Immediately afterwards, push the pipe into the socket without twisting it. Do not take more than 1 minute for the entire process.
- Let the connection rest for 5 minutes. Then remove adhesive residues by cleaning. Wait approximately 24h before applying pressure of 1.5 atm.
Notes on Resistance:
- Resistant: within the permissible pressure and temperature, the material remains resistant or any changes are insignificant.
- Conditionally resistant: The medium can partially attack the material or cause swelling. The lifespan of the material is thereby shortened. It is advisable to reduce pressure and temperature.
- Not recommended: The material is attacked. Should not be used.
Adhesive Connections:
Adhesive connections with PVC adhesives are generally as resistant as the PVC itself. Contact with the following chemical products is an exception (the connection can be classified as "conditionally resistant"):
- Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) in concentrations over 70%
- Hydrochloric acid (HCI) in concentrations over 25%
- Nitric acid (HNO3) in concentrations over 20%
- Hydrofluoric acid (HF)
Danger / Caution
Highly flammable and therefore combustible. Irritating to eyes and respiratory system. Repeated skin contact can lead to dryness and cracking. Keep away from ignition sources and strictly observe no smoking. In case of accidental ingestion or eye contact, consult a doctor immediately, preferably showing the packaging and label. Only process in well-ventilated areas. Harmful if inhaled. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed adhesive cans or tubes in a well-ventilated and cool place. Product contains PVC resin, THF, and cyclohexanone. Do not use with PVC-C. Store in a cool and dry place.
